FRECOUNTS

Everything you need to know about our pieces, the materials we work with, and how to care for them so they age gracefully and become more beautiful with use.

01 — Our Pieces

Original design,
made on the island

What makes your pieces unique?

Since 2020, we have been creating furniture and objects with a distinct personality that straddle the line between art and practicality. We work side by side with artisans from Mallorca, blending traditional crafts passed down from generation to generation with a contemporary design vision.

The result is a collection of pieces designed to interact with their surroundings, evoke memories, and stand the test of time.

Is the furniture handmade?

The craftsmanship focuses on the stringing and leatherwork, which are done by hand by master artisans on the island. The solid wood frame is crafted using precision machinery and is carefully assembled and finished.

That is why there may be slight variations between individual items—in the weave of the lacing or in the shade and stitching of the leather. These are not defects, but rather the mark of an honest, human process.

What collections and types of pieces do you offer?

Armchairs, chairs, stools, tables, lamps, and designer pieces. Collections such as FUM combine solid wood, tanned leather, and marble in pieces that can be mixed and matched; the MOULIN line features one-of-a-kind lamps created by repurposing leather scraps from the MORE armchair.

They all share the same philosophy: high-quality materials, solid construction, and a design built to last.

Can I customize a piece?

Yes. Many pieces are available in a variety of wood finishes—walnut, European oak, American oak, ash, and beech—and leather colors—black, chocolate, hazelnut, cherry, and cognac—as well as marble tops to choose from in some collections.

In addition, for lacquered pieces, the lacquer can be applied in any color you choose, with an infinite variety of finishes available to suit your space.

For customizations regarding dimensions, materials, or finishes, please contact us and we’ll review the project together.

Can I upholster it with my own fabric?

Yes. All of our upholstered pieces can be made using fabric provided by the customer, in addition to our selection of fabrics and leathers. This allows you to incorporate the piece into your project with complete freedom in terms of color, texture, and style.

Tell us what kind of fabric you have in mind, and we’ll advise you on whether it’s suitable for your intended use.

Are your products suitable for outdoor use?

Some of our armchairs, tables, chairs, and sofas can be adapted for outdoor use by selecting materials and finishes that are better suited to withstand outdoor conditions.

Not all pieces are available in this version, so please check with us: we’ll confirm which models can be manufactured for outdoor use and with which finishes.

Is every piece different?

In artisanal lines, yes. Especially in those created from reused materials, such as the MOULIN lamps: each one bears the grain and marks of the armchairs that came before it, making it unique and one-of-a-kind. You’ll receive a piece with its own character, not a mass-produced item.

02 — Materials and Sustainability

Respectful and conscious luxury

What role does sustainability play?

It is one of our core principles. We embrace the circular economy: a production cycle, in partnership with local artisans, that values every resource, minimizes waste, and breathes new life into materials. We approach luxury in a mindful and environmentally respectful way.

Is it true that you reuse leftover materials?

That’s right. Our line of lamps is made from high-quality leather scraps left over from the production of armchairs. No high-quality piece is wasted: each item celebrates imperfection as both an aesthetic and ethical value.

Even the packaging is made from cardboard that stores in Palma set aside for recycling, thus closing the loop.

What materials do you work with?

Fine materials that age gracefully: solid wood, vegetable-tanned leather, marble, terrazzo, wool, and metal accents. These are living materials that grow more beautiful with use and develop their own character over time.

03 — Care and Maintenance

To ensure your
piece lasts a lifetime

How do I care for the wood on my furniture?

Our solid wood with a matte finish benefits from simple but consistent care:

  • Routine cleaning. Wipe with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth, always following the direction of the grain. Immediately dry off any remaining moisture.
  • No harsh chemicals. Avoid abrasive products, solvents, and cleaners containing alcohol or ammonia.
  • Protect from light and heat. Keep the item away from direct, prolonged sunlight and heat sources, which can dry it out or alter its color.
  • Regular nutrition. A couple of times a year, you can apply a special matte wood oil or wax to nourish the wood and bring out its color.
  • Coasters and table mats. Protect the surface from liquids, heat, and debris to prevent marks.

Wood is a living material: slight variations in color over time are part of its natural beauty.

How do I care for leather and suede?

Our tanned leather is a high-quality material that improves with use. To keep it looking its best for years to come:

  • Gentle cleaning. Remove dust with a dry or very slightly damp cloth. Never soak the leather or rub it vigorously.
  • No harsh chemicals. Avoid detergents, solvents, alcohol, and abrasive products, which dry out and crack the leather.
  • Nourish and moisturize. Apply a conditioner or cream specifically designed for leather once or twice a year, using a small amount and gentle motions.
  • Protect from the sun and heat. Direct sun exposure and heat sources can cause the skin to lose its color and become dry.
  • Stains. Act as soon as possible, blotting the stain without rubbing. For stubborn stains, please consult us before applying any product.

The patina that leather develops over time is not a flaw: it is a sign of an authentic material that ages beautifully.

How do I care for marble and terrazzo?

Marble and terrazzo are porous stones that are sensitive to acids, so they require careful maintenance:

  • Daily cleaning. A soft cloth with lukewarm water, or pH-neutral soap. Always dry afterward to prevent water spots.
  • No acids or abrasives. Avoid vinegar, lemon, bleach, limescale remover, and generic cleaning products: they can stain the surface or leave dull marks on it.
  • Act quickly when dealing with liquids. Immediately wipe up any spilled wine, coffee, oil, or juice, as they can seep in and leave stains. Blot the spill without spreading it.
  • Protect the surface. Use coasters and table mats, and avoid dragging objects that could scratch the stone.
  • Periodic sealing. A sealant specifically designed for natural stone, applied from time to time, helps repel stains and preserves its beauty.

Every vein in the marble and every aggregate in the terrazzo is unique: slight variations in color and pattern are a natural part of the stone.

Do you offer restoration or renovation services?

Yes. We offer restoration and upholstery services to refresh pieces that have aged over the years and keep them in top condition. If your piece needs attention, please contact us, and we’ll work with you to find the best solution.

Will I receive care instructions with my purchase?

Yes. With each item, we provide a personalized online care guide tailored to the specific materials of your purchase, so you’ll know exactly how to care for it.

04 — Orders and Process

From the initial contact at
to installation

How do I place an order or request a quote?

The process begins with a conversation. Email or call us to tell us which piece you’re interested in or what your space is like, and we’ll guide you through the selection of materials, finishes, and details until we’ve prepared a proposal tailored to your needs.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Since these are handcrafted pieces, many are made to order, so delivery times vary depending on the model and the level of customization. We will confirm an estimated delivery time when you place your order. Some pieces may take between 8 and 12 weeks.

Can I see the pieces in person?

We would be delighted to welcome you to our studio in Palma, where you can explore our collections, examine the materials, and discuss your project with no obligation. And if you’re unable to visit us, we can also send you material samples depending on your location; please contact us, and we’ll let you know your options.

Do you work with interior designers and other professionals?

Yes. We work with interior designers, architects, and design professionals on residential, interior design, and contract projects, offering special terms and discounts for professionals.

If you work in this industry and would like to learn more about our partnership program, please contact us.

Is shipping included in the price?

Yes. Shipping is included in the price of all our products throughout the European Union. The amount you see is the final price; no shipping costs are added at checkout.

For destinations outside the EU, we’ll prepare a customized shipping quote; please email us with your location.

What is the warranty on the parts?

All of our products come with a 2-year warranty from the date of delivery, in accordance with European Union regulations. During that period, if a product has a manufacturing defect or does not match what was agreed upon, we will repair or replace it at no cost to you, including shipping costs.

Please remember that we work with natural materials: the variations in grain and color that are inherent to wood, as well as the color, patina, or stitching of the lacing and leather, are part of their character and are not considered defects.

Can I return a product in stock if I change my mind?

Yes. For in-stock items and parts (non-customized), you have 15 days from the date of receipt to cancel your purchase and receive a full refund.

To make your decision easier, we’ll cover the return shipping costs for these products. We only ask that you return the item in its original condition, unused and in its original packaging.

What about custom or made-to-order pieces?

Items that are custom-made or personalized according to your preferences—wood finish, leather color, dimensions—are produced specifically for you. By their nature, and in accordance with European regulations, they are not subject to the right of withdrawal due to a change of mind.

To help you make a confident decision, before we begin production, we’ll provide you with samples of materials and finishes, as well as any additional information you may need. And, of course, our 2-year warranty covers any defects or errors on our part.

How do I request a refund or report an issue?

  • Pack the product securely, preferably in its original packaging.
  • Please include a copy of the invoice with the product.

Once we have received and inspected the item, we will process the refund within 5 business days.
